The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 12-hour water cut in several additional areas tomorrow (July 4).
Water supply will be suspended from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. in Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta and Soysapura.
Earlier, the NWSDB announced that the same 12-hour interruption would also affect Colombo 01 to Colombo 15, Battaramulla, Pelawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madiwela, Nugegoda, Nawala, Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Angoda, Wellampitiya, Orugodawatta, Kaduwela, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa and Piliyandala during the same period.
According to the NWSDB, the water supply interruption is necessary due to the temporary suspension of electricity to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant to facilitate essential maintenance work on the power supply system.
