A tense situation has been reported at the Pallansena Open-Air Correctional Facility in Negombo, according to reports.
The development comes amid a series of prison disturbances reported across Sri Lanka over the past two days.
Incidents were also reported at Kuruwita Prison this morning and at Magazine Prison in Colombo last evening.
