Blood donation call

President Miguel Diaz-Canel, who visited the wounded at the hospital yesterday, reminded us that the incident was not a terrorist attack but an unfortunate accident, and called for blood donations from the citizens.

In the Cuban press, it was claimed that an explosion occurred while gas was flowing to the pipes, as part of the renovation work that has been going on for a while at the hotel.

According to the first determinations, 8 people died and 13 people disappeared in the explosion caused by gas leakage in the 5-star hotel Saratoga.

It was noted that the historical hotel, which has been closed for more than 2 years due to the Covid-19 epidemic and is expected to open on May 10, was built in 1880 and has been serving as a hotel since 1933.
