The USA and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold a Strategic Dialogue Meeting in Washington on May 23-24.

In the statement made by the US Department of State regarding the meeting, “The OIC delegation will hold a series of meetings with Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and senior US State Department officials.” statement was included.

In the statement, it was stated that the meeting will be held on 23-24 May at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the Strategic Dialogue Meeting, the parties’ political issues, climate change, human rights, women’s empowerment, health problems, and the areas of cooperation including countering violent extremism will be discussed.

“This dialogue reflects the commitment of the United States to expand multilateral cooperation as the most effective method for addressing conflicts, coordinating humanitarian responses, defending human rights, and preventing and countering terrorism, as we seek to establish equitable systems of participation around the world. Secretary-General Taha and discussions with the OIC delegation offer the opportunity to strengthen our partnerships and enable greater bilateral cooperation on common global challenges.”
