The Trade Unions Collective protested today at Colombo Fort in support of a number of requests.
Among other important requests, the demonstration was held in opposition to the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), the sale of state property, high living expenses, unfair tax laws, and state repression.
Several trade unionists could be seen taking part in the demonstration while carrying placards with different requests written on them.
