Gampola has had a mild earthquake with a value of 2.0 on the Richter scale, according to the Geological Survey & Mines Bureau (GSMB).
The mild tremor, which had Pupuressa as its epicenter, occurred on Monday, June 5, at 10.49 p.m., according to the agency.
The earthquake was detected by seismic meters situated at Mahakanadarawa, Hakmana, Pallekelle, and Buddhangala.
