A special parliamentary committee has been established to investigate the harm caused by the maritime tragedies involving the MV X-Press Pearl and the MT New Diamond and to provide any required suggestions.
The committee will be led by Minister Ramesh Pathirana, the Speaker of the House Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said at the start of today’s parliamentary session.
