Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera has been sidelined from the Afghanistan ODI series following an injury sustained during the first ODI match.
As a replacement, Asitha Fernando, who showcased a strong performance in the Test match against Afghanistan, has been named in the squad.
The second ODI match is scheduled to take place in Pallekele today at 2:30 PM local time.
Chameera’s absence will be felt in the upcoming matches as Sri Lanka adjusts their lineup to accommodate the change.
