Delegation of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, headed by President Mufti M.I.M. A. Rizwe, visited Oman on Sunday (21) Vice President A.L.M. Khalil and Ulama Affairs Division Secretary S. L. M. Nawfer were among them. This visit held on invitation by Chief Mufti of Oman, Ash Sheikh Ahmad bin Hamad Al Khalili. Notably, this visit resulted from six months of efforts by Oman’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Ahmad bin Ali Al Rashidi.
During the visit, they met with Oman’s Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs, Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Mamari, and Secretary General of Kabul Culture and Science Center, Ash Sheikh Habib Bin Muhammad Ar Riami, and several others. Discussions included bilateral relations, mutual understanding projects, and future cooperation on religious, social, and educational development projects based on a memorandum of understanding.
Additionally, they introduced Tamil and Sinhala translations of the Holy Quran published by All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama. The discussions were followed by a banquet hosted by the Chief Mufti, attended by the Ambassador to Sri Lanka.
