The Sri Lanka Air Force is set to conduct an “Aviation Fundamentals for Beginners” course aimed at school students later this month.
The two-day programme will be held on April 25 and 26, 2026, at the Air Force Museum Ratmalana. Organized under the museum’s educational initiatives, the course is designed to introduce participants to basic aviation concepts and practical knowledge.
Open to students from Grades 6 to 13, the programme will be conducted over weekends and includes a range of learning activities. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion, along with additional items such as a T-shirt, cap, aviation badge, meals, and a group photograph.
The course fee has been set at Rs. 5,000, and payments are to be made to the Air Force Museum Welfare Fund through the Bank of Ceylon, Ratmalana branch.
Officials state that the initiative aims to inspire young learners and promote interest in aviation careers among Sri Lankan students.
