All government and private schools across the Nuwara Eliya District and Kandy District will remain closed tomorrow (04) due to the severe weather conditions currently affecting the region.
According to Nuwara Eliya Zonal Education Director D.M.S.D. Dissanayake, the Secretary to the Central Provincial Ministry of Education instructed that a special holiday be declared for all education zones in the Nuwara Eliya District to ensure the safety of students and staff amidst the adverse weather.
Accordingly, the holiday applies to all schools operating under the following zonal education offices:

Walapane

Kotmale
-
Hanguranketha
In addition to state schools, authorities confirmed that all private schools in the Nuwara Eliya District will also remain closed tomorrow.
