Former Minister Rohitha Bogollagama has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over an alleged corruption offence.
According to reports, Bogollagama arrived at the Bribery Commission today (07) to provide a statement in connection with the allegation.
He was reportedly arrested following questioning by CIABOC investigators.
Bogollagama is scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Further details regarding the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the arrest have not yet been disclosed.
