The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 42-hour water supply interruption in several areas due to maintenance work at the Pujapitiya water treatment plant in Harispaththuwa.
The interruption will begin at 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, and continue until 3.00 p.m. on Friday, October 23.
The affected areas include Medawala (Old and New service tanks), Gallenawatta, Galagedara, Mawathagama and surrounding areas.
The Board has urged residents in the affected areas to use their stored water sparingly throughout the interruption.
It has also expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers.
