Major General (R) Umar Farook Burki, High Commissioner of Pakistan Colombo and Alhaj Afzal Marikkar Consul General of Pakistan in Sri Lanka invited All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, Colombo District Masjids Federation, Kandy District Masjids Federation and several other organizations for a meeting at the Embassy on Tuesday (September 06) and requested relief assistance from the people of Sri Lanka for the Pakistan flood victims.
It is noteworthy that it was decided to request all Masjids to collect funds on coming two consecutive Fridays. A communique will be issued by the ACJU.
