Bloody and boasting some of the best action scenes Tjahjanto is famous for, The Big 4 hit Netflix’s Top 10 in 53 countries, including Argentina, Mexico, Finland and Spain. In the U.S., a notoriously difficult market to break, it ranked 5th after debuting on December 15th.
“It’s thrilling to see how the story resonates and you can travel around the world,” Tjahjanto told Variety as the film became more and more popular in December. The action flick, The Night Comes for Us (2018), was the first Netflix original film produced in Indonesia.
