The new technique of obtaining passports in just three days will be introduced next month, according to Public Security Minister Tiran Alles.
At a special news conference conducted at the Ministry of Public Security, the Minister said that 50 additional places will be created to gather photographs and fingerprints at the Divisional Secretariats as part of the implementation of this.
Minister Alles added that the Chinese individual who is said to have entered the country with two passports would be called in today and that any further steps would be decided in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
