According to Public Security Minister Tiran Alles, a new system for issuing passports in just three days would be introduced the following month.
The Minister announced that this will be implemented with 50 extra locations added to gather photographs and fingerprints at the Divisional Secretariats while attending a special press briefing held at the Ministry of Public Security.
The Chinese person who reportedly entered the country with two passports will be called in today, according to Minister Alles, and additional steps would be taken after consulting with the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
