Owner of Jaffna Kings Allirajah Subaskaran met with Chief Promoter of the Lanka Premier League Anil Mohan in Colombo to express support for the Lanka Premier League in 2023.
The founder and chairman of the UK-based Lyca Group of companies, Allirajah Subaskaran, has been expanding the group’s operations throughout the South Asian region, with a focus on India and Sri Lanka. He bought the Jaffna franchise of the Lanka Premier League in 2021, and he has been an important league participant ever since.
With three league championships, the Jaffna Kings have established themselves as the Lanka Premier League’s most successful franchise.
In praising Subaskaran’s remarkable support, Anil Mohan, Chairman and Owner of The IPG Group, the official promoter of the Lanka Premier League, said, “Allirajah Subaskaran has been an exceptional supporter of cricket and the Lanka Premier League.” His constant dedication and tremendous support have been crucial to the growth and achievement of the league. The Lanka Premier League’s forthcoming season, which is set for 2023, will be the first in the league’s history to feature an auction, making it just the third cricket league in the world to do so.

On June 14th, the auction is scheduled to take place in Colombo’s Shangri-La ballroom.
This year’s competition is set to take place from July 30 to August 20 and is anticipated to include top-notch cricket matches amongst numerous clubs, including the prosperous Jaffna Kings.
It is expected to draw sizable audiences both domestically and abroad.
