The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) reported that problems with the deployment of electricity lines through a private estate in Siripagama, Ratnapura to connect the Southern Province to the main transmission line of the CEB have been resolved.
The Artigala family, who own the in question tea estate, has thus given their assent without seeking payment from CEB or the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), according to Rohan Seneviratne, general manager of CEB.
As a result, the CEB will have six days to finish the necessary work on the electrical transmission line connecting Polpitiya, Laxapana, and Hambantota. said Seneviratne.
