Former captain Heath Streak, a star in Zimbabwean cricket, passed away on Wednesday. He was 49.
Henry Olanga, Streak’s bowling partner, expressed his sorrow over the passing of the renowned bowling all-rounder on X (formerly Twitter).
Heath Streak has sadly moved over to the other side, according to recent reports. R.I.P., @ZimCricketv legend. The best all-arounder we ever created. It was wonderful to play with you. When my streak of bowling is over, see you on the other side,” Olonga wrote on X.
Streak, who was renowned for his skill with the ball, was receiving cancer treatment from one of South Africa’s top oncologists.
