According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), applications are now being accepted for admission to universities for the academic year 2022–2023 as of today (Sept. 14).
The applications may be filed online through the UGC’s official website (www.ugc.ac.lk) till October 5th, according to its chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunge.
He stated last week that the administration intends to send 45,000 students to state universities for the upcoming academic year.
On September 4, the 2022(2023) Advanced Level exam results were made public.
Between January 23 and February 17 of this year, 232,797 school candidates and 31,136 private applicants took the exam.
