The Cabinet has given its assent for the construction of a new Commercial High Court in Colombo.
According to the administration, maintaining a stronger investment climate in the nation is important to attaining development goals.
A new Commercial High Court has been identified as being necessary in light of the current scenario in order to ensure that the backlog of commercial cases is quickly resolved, it stated.
As a result, the proposal to establish the aforementioned Commercial High Court at No. 80, Justice Avenue, Colombo 12 made by the Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
