Most of the island will get afternoon or evening showers or thundershowers.
Some locations in the provinces of Uva, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Easten can expect moderately heavy showers with a rainfall total of over 75 mm.
Showers will occasionally fall in the Galle and Matara districts in the morning, and a few showers may fall in the western province’s coastal regions as well.
The general public is respectfully asked to take the necessary precautions to reduce damages brought on by lightning and temporary, localised strong winds during thundershowers.
