Today, November 1, the Colombo Magistrate’s Court decided that the death of well-known businessman Dinesh Schaffter was caused by an outside force exerted on his face and neck.
The director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was thus given an order by the magistrate who declared that a crime had been committed in connection with this incident to apprehend the pertinent suspects and bring them before the courts.
The post-mortem report was sent in to the Colombo Additional Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, October 31, by the five-person specialists’ committee, which was made up of Judicial Medical Officers assigned to determine the true cause of death for the late businessman Schaffter.
