The government’s attempts to sell the postal department’s resources have prompted the United Postal Trade Unions’ Front to declare a two-day token strike.
Chinthaka Bandara, its co-convener, stated that the government need to give up on its intentions to sell the post offices in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya.
But within the three days of November 8, 9, and 10, the Department of Posts said yesterday that action has been taken to immediately revoke all postal employees’ leaves.
