SriLankan Airlines has achieved a remarkable hat-trick by being named the Leading International Airline in South Asia under the Visitors’ Choice Awards category at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2025, marking its third consecutive win.
The national carrier’s latest accolade reinforces its position at the pinnacle of regional aviation, with direct connections to 33 destinations in 21 countries across the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe, and Australia — including major cities in five South Asian nations, covering nearly three-quarters of the region.
SriLankan’s success is attributed to its comprehensive flight network and renowned hospitality, which continue to make it a preferred choice among regional and international travellers.
Commenting on the achievement, Indunil Wijekoon, Regional Manager for Sri Lanka & the Indian Ocean, said,
