Former Minister Harin Fernando has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary General – Political Mobilisation of the United National Party (UNP), the party announced in an official statement today.
The UNP stated that the position has been newly created to strengthen the party’s organisational and political activities at the national level.
Fernando, a senior UNP member and former Cabinet Minister, is expected to play a key role in revitalising grassroots political engagement and expanding the party’s outreach ahead of upcoming elections.
