Litro Gas Lanka has announced a new district-wise pricing structure for LP gas, effective from April 6, 2026, with rates varying across the country due to distribution and transportation costs.
Under the revised prices, a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder is priced at Rs. 4,765 in Colombo and Gampaha districts, while the highest price of Rs. 5,127.25 is reported in Jaffna.
The 5kg cylinder is now priced between Rs. 1,910 in Colombo and Gampaha and Rs. 2,124.01 in Jaffna. Meanwhile, the 2.3kg cylinder ranges from Rs. 890 in Colombo and Gampaha to Rs. 1,060.29 in Jaffna.
Several districts, including Ampara, Badulla, Batticaloa, Kilinochchi, Monaragala, and Mullaitivu, have recorded prices exceeding Rs. 5,000 for the 12.5kg cylinder.
Litro Gas Lanka earlier confirmed that the base price in Colombo for a 12.5kg cylinder had been increased to Rs. 4,765, with other district prices adjusted accordingly based on transport costs.
The company stated that the updated prices will take effect from April 6, 2026.
