The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued a warning over the circulation of fake and altered official circulars on social media and messaging platforms.

In a statement, the Ministry said it had observed a growing trend of official circulars being modified and false information being circulated online, raising serious concerns about the spread of misleading content.

The Ministry noted that such misinformation could create confusion among teachers, school principals, students, parents and the general public.

To prevent the spread of false information, the Ministry urged the public and relevant stakeholders to rely solely on circulars published on its official website as the authentic and valid versions.

The public has also been advised to exercise caution when encountering official-looking documents online, avoid being misled by falsified circulars and refrain from sharing unverified information through social media and messaging applications.
