Due to the economic crisis in the country, the New Zealand government has offered to provide assistance to Sri Lanka.
The government has announced a grant of US $ 5 lakh for the benefit of farmers and children in the country through the World Food Program and the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations, says the Foreign Minister of New Zealand, Nanaia Mahuta.
In a tweet, she stated that New Zealand is deeply concerned about the hardships being experienced in Sri Lanka and wants to do their part to help feed vulnerable children and assist struggling farmers in Sri Lanka.
