The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that the Houthis fired an antiship ballistic missile at a US-flagged and owned oil product tanker in the Gulf of Aden. It said the missile missed and landed in the water.
Posting on X, CENTCOM also said that it shot down two “one-way attack unmanned aerial vehicles” over the southern Red Sea, while a third UAV crashed.
The Yemen-based Houthis have been attacking vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since November in protest of Israel’s war on Gaza.
