Sri Lanka is observing the seventh anniversary of the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks today (21), with remembrance ceremonies taking place across the country.
According to church officials, special religious programmes have been organized in all churches this morning to honour the victims. These include the ringing of bells, a two-minute silence, lighting candles or oil lamps, and holding dedicated prayer services.
A special mass is also scheduled at St. Anthony’s Shrine, one of the main sites affected during the tragic attacks.
