Heavy traffic congestion has been reported around Polduwa Junction and Diyatha Uyana in Battaramulla due to a protest led by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) against the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution.
The protest is being held as Parliament begins a two-day debate on the proposed amendment today.
The parliamentary debate is scheduled to continue through Thursday, with a vote on the amendment expected on Friday.
Motorists travelling through Battaramulla and surrounding areas are advised to expect delays and consider alternative routes.
