Officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) have recorded a statement lasting nearly four hours from former Treasury and Finance Ministry Secretary P.B. Jayasundara at his residence in Nikaweratiya.
The statement was recorded as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations surrounding the Airbus deal.
Jayasundara served as Secretary to the Treasury and Ministry of Finance from September 2009 to January 2015, covering the period relevant to the Airbus transactions under investigation.
He later served as Secretary to former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from 2019 to 2022.
