On August 5 and 6, Saudi Arabia will host Ukrainian peace talks, according to a Saturday Wall Street Journal article. Important developing nations like India and Brazil will also be invited.
The meeting would bring senior officials from up to 30 countries, including Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico, Chile, and Zambia, to Saudi Arabia on August 5 and 6, according to diplomats taking part in the discussions.
Ukrainian and Western officials voiced optimism that the conversations may lead to international support for conditions conducive to peace that would benefit Ukraine.
Although the number of invited nations has not yet been finalised, the article stated that it is expected that those that took part in a comparable round of negotiations in Copenhagen in June will do so once more.
