After the Anti-Terrorism Bill was modified in response to ideas and criticism from various parties, the Cabinet of Ministers approved its publication in the official gazette and its presentation to parliament for consideration.
The Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) will be replaced by a new Anti-Terrorism Bill drafted by the legal draughtsman and approved by the Cabinet earlier in September 2022. As a result, on March 22, 2023, the pertinent bill was published in the official gazette.
Later, the Ministry of Justice received feedback on the proposed legislation from a significant number of domestic and foreign parties with an interest in this issue. After that, the Ministry of Justice formally requested their view on the matter.
