Tomorrow (Sept. 06), the sun will pass directly over a number of locations on the island, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The Met. Department had already noted that this year, from August 28 to September 7, the sun will pass directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka due to its apparent southern relative motion.
Maggona, Badureliya, Godakawela, Kitulkote, and Meegahaveraliya are the closest towns in Sri Lanka that the sun will rise over tomorrow at approximately 12:09 pm, it added.
According to the department, rain or thundershowers will occasionally occur tomorrow in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Northwestern provinces as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
There may be a few showers in the Mannar districts.
