When compared to August 2023, worker remittances to Sri Lanka have somewhat decreased in September 2023.
Compared to August 2023, when the inflows hit USD 499.2 million, government data shows that worker remittances were registered in September at USD 482.4 million.
The total amount for January through September 2023, however, has increased and was USD 4,345.1 million. Comparing the current time to the same one in 2022, there has been a growth of 68.8%.
