The Sri Lanka Railways has announced the operation of special train services over the next two days to facilitate passengers returning from their hometowns following the Sinhala and Tamil New Year season.
According to the Department, the additional trains will run on April 18 and 19, aiming to ease congestion and ensure smoother travel for commuters heading back to work and daily routines.
These services will operate from key مناطق including Anuradhapura, Kankasanthurai, Matara, and Beliatta, where large numbers of passengers are expected to travel.
Officials stated that the special schedule is designed to accommodate the seasonal surge in travel demand and improve overall passenger convenience.
