Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has congratulated Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on their electoral victory in West Bengal.
In a post on ‘X’, Premadasa described the result as a reflection of the people’s will and the strength of democratic participation.
“Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP on their electoral victory in West Bengal. The mandate reflects the will of the people and the enduring strength of democratic participation. Wishing India continued progress and stability,” he said.
His remarks come as the BJP consolidates its position in West Bengal, a state historically dominated by regional political parties.
