The annual Colombo International Book Fair, organized by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association, commences today (25) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises.
The 10-day event will run until October 4 and will be open to book lovers every day from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Visitors to this 27th edition of the grand fair will have the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of local and foreign books at special discounted prices.

Meanwhile, Professor Thilak Hewawasam, Chairman of the Central Environmental Authority, has made a special request to the public visiting the exhibition grounds to refrain from bringing polythene, in order to help protect the environment.
