The Sri Lanka Police has arrested 74 foreign nationals during a raid in Colpetty over alleged visa violations and suspected involvement in financial fraud.
According to Police, the operation was carried out jointly by officers attached to the Sri Lanka Police and the Colpetty Police Station at a housing complex located on Uttarananda Mawatha within the Colpetty Police Division.
The suspects comprise 41 men and 33 women, all identified as nationals of Vietnam, aged between 19 and 39 years.
Police stated that they were taken into custody on suspicion of overstaying their visas and engaging in fraudulent financial activities.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Colpetty Police.
