Kuwait has resumed normal air traffic operations after temporarily closing its airspace earlier on Monday as a precaution amid heightened regional tensions, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced.

The aviation authority said Kuwait International Airport has returned to operating according to approved flight schedules after the circumstances that prompted the precautionary measures eased.

The DGCA stated that it continues to closely monitor developments in coordination with relevant local and international agencies to ensure the highest standards of safety and security within Kuwaiti airspace.

Authorities emphasized that any new developments will be assessed promptly and necessary measures implemented when required. The DGCA also urged travelers to follow official channels for the latest flight and travel updates.

Earlier in the day, Kuwait temporarily suspended air traffic and diverted flights following Iranian strikes that heightened security concerns across the region. During the disruption, Kuwait Airways halted all flights as a precaution before services were restored once the airspace reopened.
