The final decision regarding the increase in the electricity bill is to be taken today (09) in the Cabinet.
The proposal to raise the electricity bill again was presented to the Council of Ministers which met recently under the chairmanship of the President.
But still many parties, including the Public Utilities Commission, are protesting against it.
However, this proposal presented to the Cabinet last week was postponed until today (09) for further study and decision making.
