A mega-project has been agreed upon between Ceylon Beverage International and Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan by Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries of India.

Reliance Industries, which is owned by Mukesh Ambani, is making aggressive efforts to seize control of India’s large soft drink industry. Mukesh Ambani has reimagined the iconic brand Campa Cola in order to realize this objective. Reliance, owned by Mukesh Ambani, is projected to become a formidable rival to established corporations like Pepsi and Coca-Cola as it signs deals in an effort to get the largest possible proportion of the Indian soft drink industry.

As part of the agreement, Muttiah Muralitharan’s firm, Ceylon Beverage International, would pack Campa Cola in cans for Reliance. Muralitharan is a retired Sri Lankan cricketer. In the future, it is anticipated that Ceylon Beverages would establish a packaging facility in India. Campa Cola in cans will be imported from Ceylon Beverages’ Sri Lankan manufacturing up till the unit is operational.

Reliance Consumer Products, a division of Reliance Industries, previously partnered with Chennai-based Kali Aerated Water Works for the manufacture and marketing of Reliance’s Campa soft drink line.

In 2022, Pure Drinks Group sold Campa Cola to Reliance Consumer. After then, Reliance Consumer gave this brand a makeover and relaunched it. It has been made available in the markets of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Reliance is likely to introduce Campa Cola throughout India, and it is anticipated that the latest agreements would aid the business in growing its network all over the nation.
