From June 24 to 30, twelve members of the Chinese and Sri Lankan parliaments will travel to various locations of China, according to the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
The Chinese Embassy announced on Twitter that the 12 lawmakers are participants in the Sri Lanka-China Parliamentary Friendship Association.
From June 24 to June 30, they will travel to Beijing, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou at the request of the Chinese side.
According to the Chinese Embassy, senior representatives from the Chinese National People’s Congress, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Communist Party of China’s International Department, and mayors of local governments will meet with the MPs from both the government and opposition.
The Chinese Embassy also mentioned that there would be field research on ports, electric cars, information and communication technology, and trains.
