Sachin Tendulkar, a legendary cricket player, paid a visit to Sri Lanka while serving as the UNICEF South Asia Regional Goodwill Ambassador.
During his visit, Tendulkar spoke with parents and children affected by the 2022 economic crisis and the COVID pandemic, as well as UNICEF activities in the Sabaragamuwa Province.
Tendulkar remembered pleasant memories from previous trips to Sri Lanka, both as a cricket player and as part of his work with UNICEF in 2015. He praised all government and non-government organisations for their efforts to bring about constructive change despite difficult circumstances.
