According to the US Embassy in Colombo, Richard Nephew, the US State Department’s Global Anti-Corruption Coordinator, will be in Colombo from August 8 to 9.
Dylan Aikens, the anti-corruption analyst for the US Department of State, is part of the visiting party that Nephew is travelling with, according to a release.
Nephew is scheduled to meet with representatives from the government, the opposition, the IMF, the commercial sector, and civil society while in Colombo.
His visit aims to better understand initiatives to combat corruption as well as the political and economic climate in the nation, the embassy noted. It also explores the possibility of future collaboration.
