Police says that a total of 2,121 suspects have been arrested in the special island-wide operations carried out during the last 24 hours.
Among the arrested suspects, 133 have been sent for rehabilitation while detention orders have been obtained against 12 suspects, the police spokesman said.
He added that asset investigations have been initiated in relation to 5 arrested suspects and that 116 suspects who were on the list of registered suspects of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and the Special Bureau are among the arrested.
The drugs seized during the special island-wide operations thus far includes:
Heroin ,‘Ice’ drugs , Cannabis plants , Hash , Cannabis , ‘Mawa’ , Intoxicating pills
