Air traffic at Kuwait International Airport has been temporarily halted, with several flights diverted to nearby airports following missile and drone strikes reportedly hitting Terminal One and causing damage to airport facilities and injuries.

According to Gulf News, the Kuwait Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) immediately activated its emergency response plan following the incident.

PACA spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi stated that established safety protocols are being enforced to protect passengers, staff, and airport infrastructure, while security and technical contingency measures are underway to support a safe resumption of operations.

Technical teams are currently assessing the extent of the damage, with repair and restoration work expected to begin once evaluations are completed.
